I arrived at the venue at around 5pm while the wedding breakfast was still ongoing.  It finished at around 7pm, and we were able to gain access to set up as the room was being turned around. Spoke to Ellie and Steven and confirmed their music choices and first dance. The first dance was You Never Can Tell by Chuck Berry, to which the crowd responded with a large cheer and a round of applause. This was followed by Everybody Get Up by Five, and I encouraged the guests to take to the floor. The floor was packed for the duration of the evening and I would say that the songs of the evening were Soul Banana Mastermix and The Locomotion by Kylie Minogue (during which there was a very successful conga line which at one point left the room and then returned).
We ended the night with Dog Days Are Over by Florence + The Machine, as requested by Ellie and Steven. Overall it was a fantastic night, with a very responsive crowd who also made many requests. Ellie and Steven were a fantastic and welcoming couple and I wish them the very best for the future.
